How to choose the material for metal stamping

The highly adaptable and efficient deep drawing metal stamping is a metal forming method suitable for measuring high depth to diameter and large volume parts. Multiple metals can be used for deep drawing processes. At Kailai Stamping Parts Company, we can use various different metals summarized below to produce high-quality deep drawn and stretched parts.

Stainless steel 304, 305, 310, 316- Stainless steel is an ideal material suitable for various applications, with a range of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and low temperature resistance properties, as well as high strength, strong aesthetics, and easy manufacturing characteristics.

Cold rolled steel 1008-1010- Cold rolled steel has good stretchability, good strength, and versatility for various coatings, and the cost is very low.

Aluminum 1100, 2024, 3003, 5052, 6061- These aluminum alloys have good stretchability, good corrosion resistance, and low cost. Aluminum 6061-0 can undergo heat treatment to obtain high strength.

Brass 85/15 and 70/30- Brass 85/15 (red brass) and 70/30 (yellow ink cartridge brass) have good stretchability and weldability.

Copper C110- Copper has corrosion resistance, particularly ductility, and provides excellent dimensional repeatability. Due to the flexibility of copper, different wall thicknesses can be achieved.

Nickel silver - corrosion resistance, high conductivity, elasticity and strength, excellent welding ability, stamping or etching ability.
