Product Description

Manufactured from robust 2.5mm Q235B carbon steel, this custom structural wedge brace is engineered to provide extreme load-bearing capacity and impact resistance for heavy machinery and industrial transport equipment. As revealed by its internal architecture, the 260mm long and 100mm high profile features a highly rigid triangular geometry. The main chassis is precision-bent and structurally reinforced by internal triangular gusset plates. This hybrid bent and fully welded construction maximizes torsional rigidity, preventing structural collapse under immense directional forces. An extended mounting flange with pre-punched tolerance holes allows for secure, multi-axis bolt-down installation to chassis frames or concrete platforms.

Following the deep-penetration robotic welding phase—which seamlessly fuses the internal gussets to the bent main body—the entire component undergoes rigorous surface preparation. It is then finished with an industrial-grade powder coating. This thermally cured electrostatic barrier offers vastly superior resistance to mechanical abrasion, moisture, and chemical exposure compared to standard liquid paint, ensuring reliable structural performance across demanding applications.

Technical Difficulties & Manufacturing Solutions

1. Preventing Thermal Distortion During Internal Gusset Welding Fusing the internal triangular side plates to the 2.5mm carbon steel main body introduces extreme localized heat. This thermal stress can easily cause the 260mm long base to warp, lifting the mounting flange and destroying the absolute flatness required for secure bolt-down installation. Any deviation in the bend angle will prevent the internal gusset plates from fitting flush inside the cavity, leading to weak, gap-filled welds that compromise the brace’s impact resistance. We utilize precision CNC press brakes programmed with specific bend deductions based on the exact yield strength of the Q235B batch. This ensures the primary wedge is formed to strict geometric tolerances, allowing the internal plates to achieve a zero-gap fit-up.
